As I was walking over the different concerts I’m able to not believe my ears. I was hearing top indie bands all within the same place. The music filled my ears as I rocked back and forth. I was there with six of my guys and we were getting the best in time the world. Except with the heat everything was perfect. I had just started reading indie music 12 weeks before. I had visited online playlists wanting to discover new artists that might satisfy my craving. I had begun to recognize a few indie bands about a month ago. That is when my super cool buddy Joe invited me in to the future with him to this music festival. The atmosphere was perfect.
There initially were all sorts of bands here. There were emo bands playing their sad songs. There was clearly indie electronic bands just like the Postal Service. I had really did start to like this music. I could walk between genres of music and enjoy the fact that I did never heard such bands before but they also were playing music who was just as good because mainstream stuff.
At the ride home we stopped by Sonic to get some take out and some great drinks. I would not get some of them bands out of my head then i started emailing Joe around a few of them. He revealed that although he hadn’t heard of some of them he definitely had heard beneath on a few different playlists online. He provided me the different sites name and I wrote them down. Joe challenged me to brew a playlist and enter it in our contest among our friends. Much as it turned out I won the little contest acquiring the bragging rights for the next month. Joe were only available in second which made it much sweeter having beaten my mentor during the music. The one guy who had shown me the great indie bands had lost in the little contest. It truly made my day.
For you that happen to be just starting to find indie music appealing Provides you with listening to a few of the more mainstream bands. My personal suggestions might possibly be Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, Dashboard Confessional and Modest Mouse. You can expect to recognize a few of their songs but there’s real treasures who are yet to be undiscovered by you should you aren’t a diehard fan yet.
